Re: Garry Cook's email address
the club emails are in the form firstname.surname@mcfc.co.uk
I'd imagine Garry has someone to read them for him first though, pity, I got a personal reply from Alistair Mac some years ago.

Nah, I've just got an issue to bring up with him from New York. I'll tell you a bit more after I've written to him.bluealf wrote:You not gonna praise him are you

No, it's just that the City players didn't come over to our section to applaud us after either game this weekend. I'm less annoyed by that than a lot of other people at the Hatter afterward were, but I just want to bring that to Cook's attention.
For the record, btw, I never met Cook. The only person I met and chatted with there that was even remotely connected to the City brass was Alan Bates.

Mr. Cook (and, thinking realistically here, whoever reads this before you yourself see it)-
I hate to be that guy who complains about little things that are out of his control and/or can't be taken back, but I do want to bring an issue to your attention that came from the two games in Harrison, NJ this past weekend. I came out to NY/NJ from Omaha, Neb. for the games, and I know you were there, too, but in case you didn't notice it, I want to make sure that you're aware that the almost none of the City players came over to the club's supporters' sections to acknowledge us after either game. I do recall three City players coming over to clap us after the Sporting game, but none did after the Red Bull New York match.
I'm not looking for an apology on this matter, mostly as I don't think it would make any difference to either us largely on account of that we both know these games are meaningless friendlies results-wise in the end. However, if the club's tour to the United States is aimed at capturing football fans' hearts and minds - which is what I would've assumed was the point - then it's little things like the players taking the time to acknowledge the people who paid rather a lot to come support them. From talking to other fans over the few days that I came into the Mad Hatter this weekend, it appeared that quite a few of the supporters were ex-pats living in and around New York City, and they, too, paid their hard-earned to go see their club, but there was also a lot of fans that came to New York from thousands of miles away in either direction - I myself live over 1,200 miles away from the center of NYC - and I spoke with many fans in the Hatter after the Red Bulls game who were disappointed that our players didn't take the time to acknowledge us after the game. If that's not proof that, again, little things often mean a lot to a club's fan base, I don't know what does.
Again, though, this is just me bringing the issue to your attention. I was a bit disappointed myself about it - although not as much as many other fans were - so you can take from this message whatever you like. I just wanted to make sure that you have the fans' perspective on it.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
-Mathew Semisch

p.s.: I realize I may be asking the wrong person about this, but just out of interest, is there any work going on the pipeline for MCFC to have an official iPod/IPhone app? I noticed in the tournament program this weekend that Tottenham has created one, supposedly using RSS feeds from their website, etc. I think it'd be a great idea if City were to do something similar, or at least have a more mobile-friendly version of the official website (able to open video content, etc.).

Re: Garry Cook's email address
City were the only ones that didn't. Spurs, Red Bulls and Sporting - which had a fucking massive support; apparently Newark has a mammoth Portuguese population - all did.bluealf wrote:Fucking poor that they didnt aknowledge the fans really.
