Who is going to the Derby?
I was planning to go, but checked yesterday and saw that the price had gone up to £42.
I'm sorry, but i'm not paying that. £42 plus parking, petrol money, food, drink, programme etc = Looking at about £60
I haven't missed a home Derby for a while, but it looks like i'll be missing this one

Re: Who is going to the Derby?
I might be there after all. Spoke to Pam tonight, and she just needs to check with her Dad tomorrow if he wants to go and she will let me know.
He hardly ever goes so fingers crossed.

Only £18 on petrol, parking, programme, food and drink ? Cheap fucker, you must be robbing the programme and bringing a flask and butties.

Well I usually go with my brother, putting in a £5 for petrol, then split the parking = £2.50, plus £3 for a programme which leaves £7.50 for food and drink!

Re: Who is going to the Derby?
When i go with my dad, its a 200 mile+ round trip for him.
I get a flask, sandwiches, 3rd tier view - its fantastic!
Ok i don't get the buzz and banter of 111 but i get to actually watch a game of football with a TV view but i can see the whole pitch, with my dad and get a free meal on the side!

I'm seriously tempted to go.
looks like it's either vertigo or getting pissed on left.
Re: Who is going to the Derby?
I love derby matches, i love how the passion effects everyone.
Even if i was going on my own i'd enjoy it. The amount of people you can talk to at football simply because you're watching the same team.
I've sat next to "huggers" before when we beat them when vassell scored, it was Riera's debut and Evra's (Sinclair dominated him that day) and i almost got violated when we went 2-0 up

Re: Who is going to the Derby?
This is going to sound odd but at every Derby game I look at the scum fans and think "OMG...an actual live match going rag?!?! Who'd have thought it?!?!"

Wel both my parents are disabled, so we obviously have to fit in with the stereotype.

Re: Who is going to the Derby?
I'm not going due to Uni etc, gutted but now my problem is where I choose to watch it.
Online in my room on my own or in a pub with a few mates, no City but one scouse, and 50 or 60 plastic Welsh nationalist racist psychotic rag bastards.

I didn't to be honest Al.
But it IS his ticket etc etc and Pam says he wants to go to at least one more Derby, considering he is getting older now.
Can live with that.
Still peed off though.

Could perhaps meet up somewhere showing the game and those that can't go can still watch the game together?
Or we could mug other people in the pub and get thier cards and all go to th- ... no, no we can't do that... Just the first bit then?
