Pab Zab

I couldn't post this over the road, I'd be crucified for having an opinion, but as much as I like his commitment and versatility, I think Zab is seriously overrated.
He's not a right back, he gets skinned every time he plays there. Defensive mid ? No I'm not convinced. VK and DeJong are far better options.
I get the feeling that his tenacity and passion is being mistaken for talent. Don't get me wrong, I wish every player had his commitment, but I see him as nothing more than a very good squad player.

I agree.
He has played in 4 different positions in his career. (left back, right back, right mid, center mid) is this becuase no one knows where to get the best out of him?

I don't know but he will become a squad player soon, when de jong has settled.

disagree, yesturday he was poor yes, but he was fucked after thursday. He also got a limited amount of support from elano.

Funny you should say that, i've been thinking for a while that whilst Zab is a Jack of all trades, he's a master of none and i seriously think he'll be a squad player next year.

Totally agree about him being beaten far too often by a quick tricky winger, however i have been impressed by his central midfield performances.

He's deffiantely got a role within the squad, but i don't see his name being one of the first on the team sheet next season.

Obviously better quality but you know what i mean.

I think he has played his best games in the Dm position and non more so than against Wigan (prays desperately that he was in the Dm pos for that game )

you're correct he did play DM against wigan .

He does play better at DM, but Hughes...surely, wouldn't pkay 3 DM...would he?

Also, Zab is better at RB than Micah, so unless we get a super RB in the summer, I can see Zab staying at RB for the foreseeable.
