I'm finding the picture quality better, especially all the free hd stuff and I love 'on-demand' but I find sky a lot more user friendly. At the moment I have them both(until sky cancels in a few days) and I find myself watching sky rather than virgin, purely because it's easier to navigate.

80 hrs recording on the V+, 40 on Sky..
I should be with Sky to be honest though mate as the company i work for, Uni-part are Sky's logistics,

I've got a Sky plus box and it has 80 hours of recording on it.

does virgin do a anytime thing so you can watch certain programs when you want, on the box or your PC?

Virgin has 'on demand' which is fucking brill. Full series of programmes and films that you can watch anytime you want, e.g all 5 series of Shameless, series 4 of the Sopranos in full hd and loads more, dr who etc. Also has bbci player and 4 on demand which you can watch on yout tv rather than pc.
