Anyone else think they should be banned?

Don't think it would happen for one minute but I'm sure a lot of the kids around would not be pissing and moaning (like Schmeichel) or simply getting on with consolidating their earlier progress and promise (like Johnson) if these tw*ts just weren't there.

I know kids need advice but how I wish it could come from someone who just doesn't profit from the player moving to different clubs every time the agent sees an opportunity to make lots of dosh.

It just seems so wrong for the player long term..

the thing i don't get is why the clubs pay the agent when they ahve got a player a deal, seems the wrong way round.

i am not a fan of agents but i wouldn't mind being one.

I dont think they should be banned unless they are called mackay, but do think they should be far more heavily regulated, and any stunts pulled should result in investigation and possibly a ban. Maybe they should get a wage instead of a percentage of the players wage or fees then they would be more likely to be working for the player rather than their own gain.

Should they be banned? Yeah, probably. Will they be? Not a chance. Agents are just a part of how professional sport is run anymore. Some (although not necessarily me) would call them a necessary evil.

It's the players choice to emply them, they could negotiate for themselves and keep 100% of the money...that's what I'd do tbh.

most of them are too thick to do that.

Indeed mat. And they seem to have them as some kind of fashion accessory.

The first player that does without one will have my undying devotion.

Clever ones like Ned and Micah have family members as agents, so they can plead "but I need to pay my agent" when negotiating a new contract, but it stays in the family.
