Manchester City will step up their bid to sign Ronaldinho from
Barcelona and are prepared to offer the Brazilian £200,000-a-week.

Fuck off. Not paying him that much. Dont care how good he is.

he's not that good anymore TBH.

Spends more time in clubs than on training/football pitches.

Seriously...

The guys spent 1/2 the season on the sidelines so how anyone can from head and shoulders World's Best, to 'not that good' is beyond me. It's just bullshit that seems to have spread and somehow become common belief.

The money being quoted on the other hand... absurd!

Sorry but that's BS. He was quality in their CL winning season, but tailed off and was anonymous in the final, had a crap World Cup, poor following season, culminating in a 3-game ban for a sending of because he was too fat to shake his marker. AND he's been poor and injured this season.

Hardly half a season

OK, sorry a bit longer than half a season... i havent seen him that much, as i doubt a lot of people who talk about him like they've watched his every move have (not pointing that at you btw) but i do remember when he was supposed to be 'shit' still setting up and scoring goals.

You watch the old pros with a football at their feet now; they've still got it... Ronaldinho is calss he wont loose that, the fact at one point he was SO good probably means there are some warped expectations from spectators as if he's meant to run from box to box, beating every man twice before bar, post and in every game.

I'm sure a new challenge, new drive and new motivation and a 75% Ronaldinho is superior to many a footballer... the fact AC were chasing him too doesn't exactly give the impression of a poor player.

I can see what you mean about class never leaving.

But really, in your heart of hearts, can you see Ronaldinho turning on the style and bossing a game in front of 19,000 away at Hull, in the freezing cold, wind and rain of mid-january England?

Spanish reports say on talkshite barca are desperate to sell him to us.

If they're so desperate to get rid they're must be a reason?

It's obvious Frank has asked someone
'so who's the biggest football in the world?'
'hmmm, i dunno, maybe ronaldinho?'
'ok, get him'

I'll be honest i would sleep well the night it was announced that Ronaldinho would not be signing for City, however other than financially he'd be anything but a hinderance to the club imo.
