didnt like him at chelski either nasty piece of work, but my first point is valid, the rag thing is valid to my sensibilities. You should know me by now , and the people you mentioned were from the days when football was drastically different to the "product" we get served up now

I know, maybe more to the point where Hughses could be given a chance

His on/off Barcelona transfer way back when imo cost us the league. Remember the great start, 10 or 11 straight wins, transfer saga started, season fell apart. Wherever he played he gave 100%. He is a PRO, good pros look after themselves in more ways than one. I dont want Hughes to go to City as I think he will do an excwellent job
