Bolton (A)
Spuds (A)
Wigan (H)
Fulham (A)

I honestly think we can win all six Spurs away obviously looks the trickiest.
Of course, this is CIty so we could fuck it right up

Anything less than 13 points and I'll be disappointed.

Re: First six games
Well if we can overcome our fucking boogey team Everton then there should be no reason why we shouldnt be sitting with 6 wins, of course this may be self induced delirium brought on by a pair of blue specs.

18 points, on our way to total league dominance and onwards to the CL final at Wembley in 2 years' time.

Re: First six games
So we are taking 3 points at Spurs for granted ? We were lucky to get a point last season.

Re: First six games
That was at the start of the season when all our players hadn't gelled into a unit yet. They are a good side; we're just better. Also, they may well be going into the new season without Modric, who is a fantastic player and would be (will be?) a big loss to them. Would love to see him at City. Also, they haven't got a forward worthy of the name. I would be very disappointed if we didn't AT LEAST match the draw from last season. If we're serious about having a real strong tilt at the league, that is the sort of game we'll have to win. Our away record (in terms of wins) against teams in the top half last season was weak. It needs to improve. Onwards and upwards.stony wrote:So we are taking 3 points at Spurs for granted ? We were lucky to get a point last season.

I agree with most of that JIm I just think it might be a bit premature to think Levy will sell instead of strengthen. Everyone expects him to sell, Modric to rags is nailed on imo, but he might surprise us and buy instead.

Re: First six games
Have a little faith brother. I honestly believe that winning the cup may be a vitally important psychological step for the team. Hopefully they will now believe that we CAN actually achieve success and win things. The proverbial monkey is off our backs.stony wrote:jimharri wrote:That was at the start of the season when all our players hadn't gelled into a unit yet. They are a good side; we're just better. And to think; I'm the one who is usually labelled as the doom and gloom merchant on here!

Re: First six games
They are all winnable.
Looks like sky want us to win the league by beating the scum at home too.
