Re: New Captain??
de Jong for me. Vinnie's the fucking man but I just think he holds the defence together and I'd rather he just concentrated on his own game for now

Re: New Captain??
Maybe you're right, but giving it De Jong might make him a bit more responsible and stop his sliding tackles

Kompany for me. I don't think he'd lose his form, he's too focused.

The thing to suggest he may is that he has deliberately not slagged off Mancini. We all know they don't get on and Tevez has whined like a bitch about Mancini since he got here. The only reason to keep Mancini sweet is that he thinks he may be working with him again once he gets his pay rise.

Re: New Captain??
I fucking loved him to bits but, To do what he did is a cunts trick, he's dead to me, even if he stays and scores another 20 goals this season and the season after, he'll be a cunt forevermore in my eyes.AntonDonJuan wrote:Can anyone actually see Tevez staying?
Will he stay? I'm not sure ... will the situation breakdown whereby it'll be better to offload the twat to Madrid? Will he get x amount more in his paypacket enabling him to live with them evil execs who are making his life hell?
I hope he fucks off...

Re: New Captain??
I think Monday's reaction to his name being read out will decide, at least in part.

I tend to agree, but I just think his form's that good that it's a minor risk that isn't worth taking when de Jong is there and just as able.
And no I can't see Tevez staying. He should and probably will stay til the end of the season, then we sell him and replace him. A short look at his career will indicate that he's never likely to stay anywhere long:
2001–2004 Boca Juniors 75 (26)
2004–2006 Corinthians 47 (31)
2006–2007 West Ham United 26 (7)
2007–2009 Manchester United 63 (19)
2009– Manchester City 50 (33)
Just got to make sure the replacement is up to scratch. Do not underestimate what a taller striker who can score with his head could add to our all round game, but he'll have to be very good
