Sunderland fans getting giddy

Post by stony on December 14th 2010, 03:11

I only nipped on there because I heard fat sam was going to replace Bruce(rumour on barcode forum) but they have a six page thread(one for each finger) on Adam Johnson and some of them seem to think he's going there on loan in the new year.

But that's the point isn't it? He's now reduced to being an "impact sub", which is a step down from what he looked like late last season: I don't think City or Johnson saw it working out like that and that makes him primed for a move.

The Sunderland fans are only wrong in the sense that City will probably be more interested in a transfer rather than a loan, especially if they can secure Jordan Henderson in January.

Regardless of what happens in the Jan transfer window Johnson WILL leave at the end of the season, especially if he doesn't get more a run in Charles's absence.

Mancini could play him in a more central role, and from the start of a game, but he'll go for a more experienced player.

He wont be going any where, Mancini will have him primed and ready to become a great player by next season.

Well if AJ had any sense and listened to the boss.

You sound confident. How much you willing to bet on that?
