Italian Managers
Negative bastards.. Ancelotti just had a substitution booed at the champions. 2-0 down and he takes off Malouda.

Re: Italian Managers
Is that Malouda who was playing shite in the first half then ?
Mancinis excuse for the tevez barry sub actually makes sense btw, taking Milner off for RSC was the seriousley odd one, A man who thrives on crosses replaces the man who crosses best.

Re: Italian Managers
Our form revolves around tempo... when we kick it up, pass and move, we batter Chelsea.
When we all trot around (Yaya break neck sprinting speed i beleive its called) teams keep their shape and completely nullify us.
You can't play Serie A pace in the Premiership and survive, we're proving that. Mancini isn't stupid, he knows exactly what he's doing, but i'm not sure what he beleives is right, will succeed with us.

when a manager has to explain away a substitution he got it wrong for me.
Malouda who has consistently scored goals for Chelsea over the last few seasons and who is a game changer. he was by no means the worst Chelsea player out there.
So, are you disagreeing with me, that Italian managers are negative bastards?
We have Trapattoni, ye have Capello, we have Mancini and they have Ancelotti. When push comes to shove, their cautious nature will always win through

Re: Italian Managers
Granted there is a balance that needs to be struck, some wernt happy with Hughes as the defence was shocking and now we have that part reasonably sorted we are having a struggle creating good chances.
The defence struggled under Hughes as the attacking players where so gung ho "Elano, Ireland, Robinho and SWP" played so far up the pitch with only SWP seemingly able to track back and Ireland to some extent left the midfield light and the defence swamped on the counter.
Of course Italians are cautious it is in their nature (don't mention the war manuel) but it has never stopped them from having good attacking teams, winning trophy's in europe.
The Italian game was derided as boring when it was first shown on C4 all them years ago, nobody done a bat until the opposition got to the 18 yard box etc etc, but what I'd say to you is this, what is good about the English style of play ? Pace, power and little skill.
On the international scene that style of play has been shown up for what it really is, a lot of huffing and puffing around for 90 minutes.

Re: Italian Managers
I agree 100% that the hoof and chase is not the way forward. Neither is the Italian ponderous way suited to the premier league. Either Mancini changes his ideals or he won't survive. You have to allow more than three players to attack on the break, when I was watching against United, if we broke everyone bar tevez, Silver and Milner stopped at the half-way line. It was ludicrous. He needs to commit players. He even stopped Milner getting forwards against Brum.
He needs to be given a chance to see if he is not stubborn enough to change his ways. I'd give him this season and if his caution costs us then iit's Arrivaderci
