Not good enough?
Now I'm not gonna have a go at them or anything like that because I'm sure they try their hardest but I think the last 6 months or so have shown us that certain players just aren't good enough for where we want to be.
Definitely not good enough... SWP, Lescott. Bridge, Richards, Jo, RSC
Questionable... Boyata, Vieira
Controversial... Adebayor, Mancini ;-)

Re: Not good enough?
Mancini needs to be given time. I'm not convinced he's the man myself, never have been, but changing managers every year isn't the answer.

Was just joking Cheesy.
But by christ have you seen over there atm.
It is running like treacle and every other topic is of the mancini is clueless/ shite/ sack him etc etc.

Got to agree.
If this is Mancini doing what he has to do to sort the wheat from the chaff then fair enough. Wasn't he talked of at previous clubs as being a very difficult taskmaster who knew his own mind and got results (whilst leaving havoc behind him) ????
Let's give it at least some REAL time.

Re: Not good enough?
How long Mac? He's been here nearly a year now. If there were some tangible advances on the pitch in that time, then fair enough. Are we though? 3 defeats in ten league games, along with 2 draws. Carry that percentage through to next May, and you're looking at 10/11 defeats, coupled with 6/7 draws. And that will not get you CL football.mackenzie wrote:stony wrote:Mancini needs to be given time. Agreed.
If there are any agitators they'll be gone like Bellamy in January. We need stability, just look across the road.
City are still a work in progress, granted I'm pissed off that i thought winning the league cup this season would be a good start for us but that's not going to happen. We are still 3 years away minimum in my view from being genuine world beaters.

He got something really right early doors this season....the defence.
I just think he has not been allowed to do anything bit a pick and mix because of the injuries we had to some key players.

Add Milner to the get rid list. I realise Mansour is loaded, but £25 million for Milner? FFS.

Re: Not good enough?
3 years? I'm honestly not sure I can wait that much longer for a trophy Mat. I still think what he did at WBA in the CC was unforgivable. The thinking was to proiritize the league; won 3, lost 3 since then. Didn't really work, did it?mat wrote:

Yeah; what will now be (at least) 35 years. Just how long are we supposed to wait?quiet_riot wrote:jimharri wrote:]3 years? I'm honestly not sure I can wait that much longer for a trophy Mat.

So do I Jim. I think that was our most genuine chance to win anything but i also think we need stability. If Mancini was sacked i don't particularly like the out of work alternatives. The only person i'd like to see if that was the case would be (Tin Hat)
Sven.
Re: Not good enough?
Hiddink? Rijkaard? Van Gaal? Don't think they're out of work, but we can afford to pay their clubs compensation.mat wrote:jimharri wrote: I still think what he did at WBA in the CC was unforgivable.

Don't think he'd leave them. He'd have to be mad. Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol etc etc.mat wrote:If your looking at it that way then I'd go to Barca and get Guardiola.

Re: Not good enough?
He gets slaughtered across the road, but he's worked wonders at Spurs. Bottom 3 when he took over, 18 months later they're in the CL and tore the defending champions apart on tuesday night. Could you honestly see RM inspiring us to such a performance? i know i can't.mackenzie wrote:Bent Arry anyone??

What you going to do Jim stop supporting City ?
It is a daft statement and thats what got me going last time, not the Mancini part.

Re: Not good enough?
I'm getting sick and tired of waiting for a trophy Alf. That's why i can't forgive Mancini for doing what he did against the Baggies. Resting players is all well and good if it pays dividends, but it hasn't. W3, L2 (in the league) since then. If you can honestly see him taking us to where we all want to be, you're a better man than me. Good shout on Jol, BTW.bluealf wrote:quiet_riot wrote:jimharri wrote:]3 years?
