Robert Green is a football genius. How dare you speak ill of him.
Really, though, Howard was the MOTM for me. He played an absolute blinder of a game, though he did have me just about shitting myself when he went down. Felt like I'd seen that movie before with Given.
Still, 1-1 and a point that surely we did enough to deserve. I'll take it. Now on to Slovenia and Algeria, who we should both kick seven shades out of.

a part from that mistake, we played ok and created a lot of chances.

Rob Green made a mistake, lets move on. You would think he had committed mass murder looking at the press this morning.
My thoughts on the match. In not particular order:
1. Gerrard led by example and seemed to revelling in being England Captain.
2. Johnson and Heskey were englands best players IMO. Heskey hasn't gone to score, he went to hold and pass and did it well.
3. Fabio has said in the past no player is undroppable, yet Rooney gets a full game when i think he should have been taken off instead of Heskey as i think Heskey and Crouch may have worked.
3. when did head kicking become ligitmate tackles? i lost count of how many england players were smacked in the head.
4. ITV are twats.
5. cappello showed what a great manager he is with the milner sub.
6. Carragher is too slow and should have been red carded. Dawson must be thinking wtf he has to do to get a start.

Agree with most of that Mat, however since Capello arrived he's been Benitezesque in his decision making... a really poor manager.
Lennon didn't play most of last season; starts for England. Same with Heskey. Green is the poorest of three 'iffy' keepers, Johnson/Lennon/King/Green/Heskey/Milner are not international standard... they lack the composure, belief and temprement to succeed in our international team.
Capello should know by know none of our best palyers play 442 so why do it in an England shirt?
