Transfers

Post by shinpads on May 25th 2010, 12:53

Realistically we are playing the waiting game as fans. It does add to the excitement of a footy packed summer, who will we get ? I have no idea who we will get but i trust bobby to get the team set up his way with his players . Gone are the days of aging payday seekers like mcmanamanaman , we will be getting players with a lot to give and a lot to prove. If we get milner its a sign of long term planning and not just "look at us we can sign anyone" , I wouldnt be upset if we got a "star name" but i think we will be buildin a team rather than a bunch of superstars. Bring it on!!!!!!

I still can't get used to looking forward to the transfer window. Too many years of dreading which of our best players would be fucking off to someone else.

They only finished seventh place, Torres Torres
LFC's in the shit, and plus
He'll only go and sign for us
Fernando Torres, City's...yeah.

Anyone keeping up with all the transfer bullshit on BM ? It's getting giddy as fuck in the transfer forum, you leave a thread for an hour and there's another 30 pages.

I go on BM and read the ITK's.

Then I go on SSN and/or read the press and see reality.

The two do not add up for me. Sad

I have every faith that City will sign players on the quiet. The owners we have know how the media operate so i expect we'll go down the arse road but we will have one "fuck me!" singing.

Re: Transfers

What we need

Two full backs that can play ball. Micah can go for me. So one left and one right. Boateng and a left back would do me.

So a pick of a defense from Zab, Boateng, Komps, Lescott, Toure, Neds, Boyata, New Left Back and Bridge as a backup left full.

A new midfielder to thread a pass and get on the end of things in the box if Ireland is going to continue acting the bitch. A box to box midfielder just in case Johnno breaks down again

Midfield of AJ, SWP, Bellers, Petty (I'd keep him) Nige, Barry, Paddy V (Keep him too) plus 1 new creative one and one new young box to box type. Plus the young lads like Weiss and Ibrahim

I'd keep Ade and Carlos and I wouldn't mind seeing one or two coming in to supplement.. we really need to clear out the dead wood in this department.

Plus we might see Nimley and David Ball, maybe even Robbie Mak get a run in cup games.

We don't need much, but what we get has to be quality to push on next season

Arteta

Post by stony on May 26th 2010, 13:03

I've been having a quick look at 'bitter n dipper' it would send a few of them over the edge if we signed Arteta. Look at some of these comments.

The manager may have changed but you still have the nomarks up in City's office. I seem to recognise the Lescott tactics starting again. "We have made an offer but Everton have refused and said he is not for sale. But that is not the end of it" Remember?

He'll never go to Shiteh.

Bookmark that in your web-pipe and smoke it

I think hearts would break if Arteta went. Seriously.

He'd never go to a place like Citeh though.

A player of his class should just reach the highest end of football he can get to when the opourtunity arises. I dont think he'd want to go down the road on the off chance they "could" get into the Champions League. They've already used that chessnut and spent 300million and didnt get it...and a fair few of them players who were promised this and that will be jumping ship or shipped out.

Citeh have coin and empty promises of reaching the promise land.

Until they get there, then they can attract top talant. Until then, Arteta has more chance of going Spurs than Citeh....and that's saying something.

city can do one. We spend years building a team that can truly compete and they think all they have to do is splash the cash,
ok players come and go but the way they go about doing it gets on my F**king tits,
we should hire a private investigator to follow round Arteta's agent, and when city start to speak to him behind our backs get the fa involved, city with a transfer ban and a big fine should stop their shit

I think I would actually cry, he is not my favorite player but he is probably our most important player.

Citeh coming along certainly aint gonna change his mind. Bad tramps who'll have a new manager by Crimbo again.

Articles 17 and 18 of the FIFA transfer regulations...

To be fair it would break me if Arteta went....

But going to city - that would be mental breakdown level of breaking.

He should ask himself.

WOULD THE MAN CITY FANS LOVE HIM MORE THAN US?

No. They're a plastic club with a shitty song.

it's no z-cars.

Arteta wont leave us but it wont stop those F*****s trying to go behind our backs

If Arteta was to leave, i would cry like a baby. I dont think he will though.

If it's going to upset Everton fans this much, I must admit I'm warming to the idea of signing him.
