Re: scumscouse
Give me a scrappy 1-0 win now, with the winner going in off Tevez's (or indeed anybody's!) arse in the last minute, and I'll snap your hands off!

Re: scumscouse
Well, I was right about how many Everton would score. Just a sodding pity City didn't match up to my similar expectations!
That apart, we are pretty crap against teams that have the foundations there.
Moyes is a git but he was right in a way.

Moyes is a twat. he's had a lot of players there for years, we've had most of our team for months

Re: scumscouse
Everton fans have been the most vocally bitter about our money. Oh how I would have loved to stuff it down their throats.
In the end, we lost our way thanks to a couple of dodgy decisions by the ref. Despite 2 periods of sustained pressure, we hardly troubled Howard, and Osman and Arteta showed why they are so important to Everton.
I fear 4th is now lost, as I can see a similar result against Spurs, we just don't seem to have it in us when the pressure is on...put us away at Stamford bridge where we're expected to get turned over..and we win. Put us at OT where we're expected to get turned over, and we (twice) come within added time of getting something.
Maybe it's the pressure of expectation of our home crowds?

Re: scumscouse
Just home after the match and its all a bit surreal. Earlier in the season as i have mentioned I felt downhearted and dissilusioned, but even having lost tonight i feel more upbeat . Yes we lost, but we didnt lose playing badly, we got done for the first goal by a bad descision, and the second goal because we were chasing the game. The team tonight was strange because we had players out of position, players missing injured and suspended. The ref had a shocker, as he did when we played the red scouse. Artetta should have walked, they also were time wasting from the word go, and tim howard became lazarus at the final whistle leaping about like they had won the world cup. The positives for me were Tevez (again) Johnson (again) Paddy Viera made a difference when he came on , and the out and out Passion shown by our manager. Nothing to show for it but finally after months and months I got the buzz again walking to the ground, and during the whole game i didnt think we gave in.
Shinpads the Special One is back, call me captain positive , we are on the way to Big Big things. The futures bright the future is Blue.

Am I the only one who thought we were poor then? 60% of the ball and we didn't force Howard to do anything really

Re: scumscouse
Agreed. We never looked like scoring once we went behind and some of our players couldn't trap a bag of cement. SWP can piss off, unless he drastically ups his performances. And Toure doesn't inspire confidence in me (sorry SP, but he doesn't). And the tactics last night were bizarre; continual long balls pumped upfield to our shortarse pairing up front. Very disappointing. and it doesn't bode well for the games against Villa, Spurs and the vemin.quiet_riot wrote:Am I the only one who thought we were poor then? 60% of the ball and we didn't force Howard to do anything really
