They'll never be happy some of that lot. I think if you win you should be kept on. You can't sack the man after 3 points and being in the top 6 which is the chairmans goal.

Sack him after Bolton or Spuds. Make much more sense. Now we have our bare arses out as a target and Hughes will get sympathy

I think his January targets are part of the problem. Being linked with all manner of shite.

Very strange goings on.

Despite losing confidence in Hughes, this whole episode has left me uneasy.

My main problem is; had it been Mourinho or Hiddink, we'd all be happy, proven world class managers.

Mancini has no PL experience, and his career highlight is winning Serie A and CL with an Inter side which, at the time, was easily one of the top 3 sides in the world and top 1 side in Italy.

More so, he's not Mourinho... and our fans seem to have thier heart set on him managing us, some kind of romantic fairytale that just fits... So how long does Mancini get until we here; He doesn't know the PL, he's never had to manage a team that wasn't already at the top, he's tactically naive etc etc

Look at our fans on Sky Sports... a breath of fresh air compared to BM... which, i believe is currently hurting our club!

I think this could fuck things up.

See this scenario, Mancini has his ideals, plays Robinho al the time, whether he's worth it or not, and the grafters lose their spots, the crowd gets uneasy after another woeful Robinho/Adebayor performance....

I was never Hughes' biggest fan, but the way this (apparently) has been done is just not right.

Mancini won the scudetto in the match fixing year of serie A.

I feel peoples uneasyness with it and the typical city way it has been handled. On the plus side Brian Kidd has been made his no2 according to ESPN who i've aleays believed to be one of the best coaches/tacticians in the country.

Maybe this is another peter reid/brian horton type changeover if it occurs.

It just doesn't sit right for him to be sacked after a win. In this manner.

Whatever you say about Hughes he was nothing but professional for us and deserves to be treated in the same respect by Cook.

Hughes' biggest problem was that he was loyal to his backroom staff and to some players so much so that it was a fault of his.

A top class defensive coach should have been brought in at the start of the season.

It stinks to hell. I'm fucking disgusted by this. Hughes deserves better. Yes, results haven't been brilliant (no shit Sherlock), but we're 6th; 4 points off 4th spot with a game in hand and we're in our first semi final in 28 years.

which brings me back to my earlier point (probably lost on BM) that Hughes was never more than a stop gap as Mancini learned English and the PL/ current City side.

Rumours that he is a mate of Khaldoon, Shinawatra etc etc.

I dunno what the fuck is happening for sure but I wish Hughes well whatever happens

I think it is spot on. I would have thought it was bad if there were signs of improvement but there weren't. We were getting worse each week (I have not seen today's game), but against spurs we were awful and they are a team we hope to be above come the end of the year.
Also if the players didn't want to play for Hughes what do you do? Sack Hughes or all 25-odd players?
