We will never know the truth now.
Tbh i wish Dunne had kept his gob shut, all the times i have defended him kinda loses its edge when you here him bleating about being pushed out to another club on 55k a week wage, it must be so hard.

Agreed. A bit of dignity would have been nice Richard. Remember when KK gave you your final chance after turning up pissed for training one too many times. The club stood by you then.bluealf wrote:We will never know the truth now.

Re: dunne
I've been thinking a lot about this today.
I think i understand why he was pushed out.
To me he was the epitome of City, Could be amazing one week, bobbins the next or perform a match saving tackle followed by a last minute OG.
Hughes has always said he wants to make city more professional both on and off the pitch and establish a winning mentality with the players.
Maybe cook identified Dunne as the weakest link to it, maybe saw him as a part of the "Old City" past and thats why they sold him. Maybe didn't have that winning mentality that Robiniho adheres to?

While I can see, and agree with, most of what you say there, can you honestly put anyone else at the club above Dunney for the "would risk it all to save City" award?
Other than Superman, I think there are very very few tbh.
