That could and should have been about 5-1. They played us off the pitch, I'm fucking gutted.

Well to say i underestimated hamburg is a huge understatement. They were a class act and we didnt do ourselves any favours. Great to go one up so quick, but the way they came back against us was frightening. Shay was our Man of the match. bit gutted but its not over yet. All we have to do is put in our best performance of the whole season next week.

Missed the last goal due to a fusebox explosion.

Gutted. Not as close as I wanted it to be ready for next week.

Hmm. I can see us bagging a couple against them; it's keeping them out at the other end that I would have serious doubts about. If they nick one, we'd have to bag 4 to win it (or 3 to go to ET). I'm sorry to say, I think we've run our race here. And that will lead to Hughes' exit. I'd rather we held on to him; after all, changing managers willy-nilly over the last x years just hasn't worked. However, I don't think that ADUG will be happy with a mid table finish. Shame, but there you go.

One of my Everton mates phoned me up tonight after the match. ( i was working so haven't watch it yet) He said that it was an entertaining game for a neutral and Given saved us from a twatting but he has a feeling this is our year to win it. He sighted other rounds we scraped through and compared it to his teams run last year who were pissing every match until fiorentina. His last word to me tonight was "Your luck hasn't run out yet. I'm putting a fiver on 2-0 for you and another fiver on your boys winning it."

I wonder if i'm converting him?

I never wanted him and I haven't really warmed to him since. I did want him to prove me wrong though and become "our Busby".
However it's obvious that he doesn't have what it takes and the sooner the rag cunt fucks off, the better. At least no one will be able to accuse our owners of not giving him a chance.
I don't think Jose will come and I don't really like the arrogant prick much tbh. He is a winner though and that's what we need.
If not Jose then 'who?' the Hughes lovers ask. I wouldn't mind Jol, but I can't see him leaving Hamburg so soon, Rijkaard or Scholari perhaps ?

Stony, i want to believe we could get Jose, I think he would give us the kind of leadership we need. One rumour I have heard and its very far fetched is Wenger, a class act and with the ability to deal with superstars.

I've heard murmurings about Wenger, but I've just ignored them tbh. He shuns the money on offer for players at the Emirates so I can't see him wanting to become a chequebook manager overnight.
