Smells that remind you of Maine Road

I was standing in the queue at the AMT stand at work this afternoon. On the left hand side of me an elderly man was sat sipping a cup of Bovril. As soon as the smell touched my nose I went back in time, sitting on one of the wooden benches opposite one of the food bars in the north stand with the old man having one to warm us up for the 2nd half.

Any of you catch a smell that reminds you of our old ground?

Not so much a smell, rather a taste. Wagon wheels! Also, back to the smell theme; the smell of piss & the sensation of a wet leg, particularly if you were stood on the kippax when it was packed!

I forgot he used to get me one with it.

there is a certain cigarette smell that reminds me of there, cos a guy in front used to smoke, but i have no idea what the cigarette is.

Wagon Wheels! I'd totally forgot about them and Maine Rd, did they sell them there or did I used to take them with me? Not sure.

I think Maine Rd was also the first place I ever encountered public toilets too so for me the smell of stale piss reminds me of Maine Rd too
