Heard on the radio on the way back that Elano and Sturridge had another argument.

Most heated debate i saw was with Caicedo and i'm not sure who else... Micah's head looks to have gone, i'm not sure he knows he's on the football field at times, he turns his back on the ball and walks away so often, doesn't commit himself, doesn't look hungry or desired.

I don't blame Hughes today, we looked to be in cruise control until a wonder strike, then a few minutes later Micah is wildly out of position and a huge chunk of luck gives them thier second goal.

Our three best players exposed our stupidly frail squad and we struggled to create anything of any note. Sturridge impressed at times, Kompany was very good as always, Elano looks like his head is in Italy yet he's still willing to use his vision and picked out some top passes.

That is looking like a costly mistake unfortunately. Still, wrong as it may be, getting rid of Elano will only make me dislike Hughes more.

The guy has been below average at best this season, went to the press rather than the manager is rumoured to be disruptive in training, arguing with players on the pitch, going to the press to announce his intention to speak to City about moving to Lazio.

The guy's quickly become a complete prick and if he's disrupting other palyers then he has to go and good on Hughes for looking past the pressure of fans and binning a disruptive talented player to benefit the team and the squad as a whole.

Question is GS ... WHY has Elano gone from a happy player to a clearly unhappy one? his best mate signed for the club,everything should be peachy yet,clearly it isn't.

Whilst Ireland/SWP/Dunne etc have recently voiced thier delight at how training is going i find it hard to believe that this is solely a Hughes issue.

To me, it seems like Elano was aloud to be Billy Big Bollocks under Sven; the team played around him, training was pretty easy and Sven was soft.

Hughes has let them know who's in charge, training is tough and Elano isn't the first name of the team sheet anymore... he acted like a child was punushed and now he's seemingly sulking and manouvering his way out of the club.

It's Elano's lack of maturity and self discipline which we saw glimpses of last season under Sven, not Hughes which is the issue here imo

Elano last season. did enough for me to say that the wealth of talent at his disposal means he he is an absolute must keep. If he isn't producing that form I want to know why he isn't and why the manger isn't making/encouraging him to play to the very best of his latent abilities

Well it is about time the cunt put it in on the pitch (in a blue shirt), better than 90% not since the first ten games under Sven or when he is with the Brazil mega stars.

His passing has been mainly dire and not once have i said he's shit or that he's shit because he dosnt get stuck in.

Atm he dosnt warrent people defending him like he is the messiah.

He shouldnt be in the team at all unless he is playing in his proper position as a 2nd striker or attacking midfielder and know way on this earth has he done enough to replace Ireland in that position.

I find it more than extremely unfair you keep referring to the guy as a "cunt" - because he's shown that, given the right position, in the right team, with the right palyers around him, he can flourish.

Problem is, right now we don't have the formation or the players to allow Elano to play where he is most effective; in the hole between midfield and strikers.

We're putting him (a square peg) in a round hole... He's not a battling box to box midfielder yet thats the position he's playing.

I think he may well go in January if we can find a better suited replacement... He just doesn't seem to fit into our future plans and his lack of flexibility as he is now showing will, imo, cost him his City career.

We could happily build a team round him last year, not so this year and going forward.

I think he's a great footballer in the right circumstances, but he's totally unflexible and taken out of his comfort zone reacts in the unsavoury ways we've seen this season both on and off the pitch.

I have taken to calling him a cunt because he gets payed well and has been moaning like one.

Elano has done fuck all for us in over a year now. If we got a reasonable bid for him (from whoever; Arsenal, Lazio, it doesn't matter to me) I say get rid. 1 good game out of every 10 isn't enough.
