Quite surprising that....
Re: New signings.....According to todays papers
For what it's worth (not much), I think Bridge is a good buy. An experienced England international Left back, who has years of Prem experience. The fee? Well, I've heard varying reports up to £15m. Now that's a lot of money; however, it's not like we can't afford it!!

i'd be happy with bridge too, the money does not matter.jimharri wrote:For what it's worth (not much), I think Bridge is a good buy. can't think of a premier league left back we could get that is better tbh.
would he be eligible for UEFA??

Not if he's played for Chelsea in the CL. Remember reading a similar thread on BM a few weeks back on a nother player (can't remember who though).Stato wrote:i'd be happy with bridge too, the money does not matter.jimharri wrote:For what it's worth (not much), I think Bridge is a good buy. I think if it wasnt us buying him and it wasn't Chelsea selling him, it'd most likely be between £3-5mil tops... He's a top buy but he's no frills, he's not a flair defender like a Bosingwa or a Clichy kind of full back imo.
But, since its January, we're the cash rich whores anticipated to spend big, they're the old ugly has been; still filthy rich but last year news in a panto kind of style, its not like they need the money. Not only that but it seems defence and left back is a priority this window... i wouldn't be surprised if we ended up having to shell out £8-12mil for Bridge.
Lets hope his signature is done quick and we can get a good 5-6 quality 1st team/squad players through the door, oh, and a superstar or two just to not be rude
