If we play badly and lose, then my mind is pretty much settled - he should go.

Should go before the game, IMO.

But if we play awful (again) and lose (again) he should be gone before he gets back to the dressing room.

So do I.

But don't tell anyone.

Really thinking about going back on anti depressants. Was on them six years ago. Need them again.

The article on BM really made me think... Hughes is putting his regime into place, one that is polar oppositie to Sven's slack grip on the squad.

It made me think the unwillingness of the palyers to step into line and swallow thier pride is hurting us more than the manager is. Long Term MH can become our Ferguson, but if nobs like Micah are indeed more bothered about thier phyical appearence in the gym rather than their onfield performances and Dunne/Vass/Elano etc can't adapt to a more intense training regime then perhaps they're not cut out to go to the very top.

Is it really and wonder Ireland, who spent allsummer working his socks off has flourished under Hughes whilst slackers like Micah and Elano and Dunne have suffered?

Its a shame the media have forced fans to focus solely on the manager when things are going wrong, players are just as much, if not more so to blame imo.

Well said GStar.

A bit of me is not too proud to say that I was wrong re Hughes.

However, the shite he is seemingly having to put up with is not on.

Every player needs to know that they are a team member.

I hope he gets them into shape, and if he can't then I am still on Hughes' side.

I suspect, that if he's allowed too, all the trouble makers will be out of the club in January. He will make some decisions which will piss off the majority of blues short term, may be proved right at the end of the season.

This season will go down in the Annals of Manchester City one way or another.

Players not happy with him or robinho according to some newspaper.

I think that he is better than any of our players and I would happily see anyone from our current squad leave as long as a good replacement comes in.
Any trouble makers can leave and anyone who isn't willing to give 100% can leave.

Kompany yes.
SWP I dont think he would do that.

I am angry and want him out. But my calmer side is telling me that we should give him the hull game. As the commentator said, if we win we go 12th.

Give him the hull game. If we lose, don't sack him, kill him. If we win (and play well) keep him.

I feel a bit sick to be honest.

I like Hughes and always have. I think he will be a good manager, but the transition at City seems to be beyond him.

I'm convinced that there have been clashes with a few, and that discipline has been lost. I still think he is the kind of manager that can do a good job with HIS players though but I don't think that he will get the time.

Some of the comments on the other forum are making me sick. It's almost as if some were almost wanting us to lose today. And that I cannot understand for the life of me. Sad

Hughes did nothing wrong today... he set up 442, tried to make us solid and difficult to beat.

He did what he could with what he had, perhaps bring on Caicedo earlier, Garrido LM at half time for Gelson to give Ireland a chance in the middle but thats just personal preference.

Ball made last season's Garrido look solid, Dunne was absolutely pathetic as too was Richards who has cost us two goals in two weeks.

Ireland/Kompany/SWP are the only ones to come out of or matches with any credibility. Caicedo proved the wankers on BM who wrote him off wrong again but its the players door i lay the blame at tonight, i dont see what the manager did wrong.

Who ever takes over from hughes will no doubt end up with a good squad.

I believe he will be sacked this week now, i think now it may be for the best but with a heavy heart, sacking managers has never worked the oracle for us in the past.

I just dont want mr fantastic to take over.

Sorry i posted this half in the big phil thread transfered over now

Me neither tbh.

Thought the starting 11 and the substitution the best he had to deal with.

Dunne and Richards need to go, or at least play as squad members only.
