Good signing...there are areas which IMO are more pressing concerns than centre half, and the rumoured 24m is way too much.

Really? I'd disagree... A back up to to Ireland would be nice; but they'd probably need to be young and willing to sit on the bench.

Our defence is the priority right now. I bet Onuoha's gutted, i hope he gets a chance this season along with the seemingly forgotten De Jong.

I still think we need a better left back. And really, if we're thinking long term, Onuoha should be up there and in the team, IMHO. Dunne is a great player, and on form it's hard to drop him, Toure - class, again IMHO. Lescott only has one thing over Onuoha Dunne and Toure, and that's his left foot.

I agree with De Jong, although I suspect we will see more of him in away games. My worry is that VK is also yet to come back.
The probelm is fitting all this talent in without completely abandoning the people who've been here more then 5 minutes - but I guess that's why Mr Hughes is on a big chunk of cash!

I'm happy with Bridge, I think it's taken him a bit to settle and Robbie leaves him exposed at times. I wouldn't say no to a new right back though, unless Micah can get his arse back in gear.

I agree, he would have been a proper hero under JR, KK or SP.
He gets stuck in with everything he has but he is just not a top class RB and he has played his best games in the do or die DM slot but we have better players there aswell.

I feel sorry for him, i really do he is destined to be a good squad/bench player now.

Which shows just how far we have come imho.

Has he signed yet?

Just had a text saying he's passed the medical but deal hasn't been finalised.
