We really need to stop this run of draws(it would have been defeats in seasons past) and Burnley gives us an excellent opportunity to spank a prem team good and proper. I can see a return to winning ways and a good 4-0 thumping of the dingles.

I don't see it as 2 DMs, because Barry would play a more CM role, linking between NDJ and Ireland/SWP/Bells.
The other option, IMO, if Barry isn't doing it, is to play 2 strikers, and drop Ireland back, but then he is stifled as he can't come forward too much.

Ireland played a bit further back than that last season and still managed to be a creative force whilst at other times he was seen tracking back and putting in tackles in our own box.

I would drop Barry on current form and let DJ sweep up in front of the back for and let Ireland roam the middle and add support with surging runs and link up play.

The added benefit of having SWP and Bellers on the wings is they get through a good amount of defensive duties, so this should cover for when Ireland is in attack mode.

Yeah but Stevie's offensive prowess was due in part to the fact that 9 times out of 10, he was confident that he had 2 out of VK/NDJ/Zab behind him if we were broken against

I agree with dropping Barry on current form though, I think Ireland has to start. NDJ along with perhaps (eek) Bridge are the only ones who's places are safe, imo.

I think Bridge has played well in all the draws oddly enough.
